Last season, the Los Angeles Chargers won 10 games and made the playoffs for the first time in the Justin Herbert era. The young star quarterback threw a career-low 25 touchdown passes in 17 games, but it was enough to get the team into the postseason, where they lost a 31-30 thriller to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, with much of the offense back and first-round wide receiver Quentin Johnston in the mix as well, the Chargers have their sights set on a Super Bowl victory. To get there though, they'll have to get past their division rivals, the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Austin Ekeler ran for 915 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for Los Angeles while also catching 107 passes for 722 yards. The multi-talented running back is one of the NFL's most dangerous player.

This year's Chargers team also shouldn't be as dependent on the health of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. In addition to the addition of Johnston, Josh Palmer has emerged as a solid receiving weapon as well. With Gerald Everett at tight end, this offense should continue to make noise.

Defensively, the team has a talented front seven, featuring players like Khalil Mack, Eric Kendricks and Joey Bosa. The Chargers also added linebackers in the second and third round of the NFL Draft, taking Tuli Tuipulotu and Daiyan Henley in those rounds, respectively.

The team also has a talented defensive secondary with cornerbacks J.C. Jackson and Asante Samuel Jr., as well as safety Derwin James.
