The New Orleans Saints had a bad season in 2022, their first under head coach Dennis Allen, failing to impress in what was a historically weak NFC South division. Carr was solid overall in 2022, his final season with the Las Vegas Raiders, the franchise that drafted him, throwing for 3,522 yards and 24 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. Even if those aren't superstar numbers, they're miles better than what the Saints were getting out of the position last season, and Carr should provide a huge boost to the team's offense in 2023.
Another boost for New Orleans will come thanks to the continued return to form from former NFL Offensive Player of the Year, wide receiver Michael Thomas, who has looked great this offseason, in training camp and in the preseason. Thomas played 13 games in 2022, catching 16 balls for 171 yards and three touchdowns, but should be much improved in 2023.
