The Devils are coming off of a four game road trip during which they went 1-3-0. They also last played on Sunday, losing 3-1 to the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Tuesday's game is the second game between the Penguins and Devils this year. In the first matchup back in mid-November the team were tied through two periods before the Devils opened up with three goals in the third period - including two within 20 seconds of each other around the 11 minute mark - to go on and win 5-2. New Jersey dominated at the faceoff dot in that game, winning 57.1% of the time.
