Qualifying for the penultimate event of the 2023 NHRA season continues today with the NHRA Nevada Nationals. The results of this weekend will play into the final points standings for the championship event next week. The top drivers in all classes from Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Motorcycle are all in the mix this weekend. This event takes place from Las Vegas, Nevada on The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the series returning to the venue for this Fall event. Heading into this weekend there is only one classification, Top Fuel, that has a tight race to the championship with Leah Pruett holding a slim four-point lead over the field.

Pruett leads Top Fuel with 2,414 points, four points ahead of Doug Kalitta (2,410 points) with Steve Torrence (2,401 points) in third place, only 13 points off the top spot.
Matt Hagan (2,461 points) leads Funny Car by 36 total points over Bob Tasca III (2,425 points) who is not too far behind. That is the only other classification that is in the balance heading into this weekend's event.
Pro Stock has Erica Enders (2,454 points) in the lead with Greg Anderson (2,369 points) in second place, 85 points behind the lead. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Gaige Herrera (2,560 points) is the leader with a massive 156 point lead over Eddie Krawiec (2,404 points) who is in second place.
