Eliud Kipchoge is one of the most accomplished marathon runners ever and looks at the course record today as his bench mark.
Last year the men’s race was won by Kenya’s Evans Chebet with a time of 2:06:51, the best time in 10 years for the men.
On the women’s side, Kenya’s Peres Jepchirchir won with the best time since 2014 to pick up her first win at the Boston Marathon. She finished with a time of 2:21:01.
