SEC/Big 12 Challenge Features Texas vs. Tennessee and Kansas vs. Kentucky
Before getting set for the NFL’s conference championship Sunday, you can spend today taking in the SEC/Big 12 challenge in men’s college hoops. The series supplies a break from rugged conference schedules and provides matchups between dominant squads and blue bloods going in opposite directions. You can also check in on the PGA Tour’s event at Torrey Pines, which has a rare Saturday night finish, plus the men’s singles final at the Australian Open is on very early on Sunday morning.
Here’s what I’m watching today.
MUST WATCH:
Men’s CBB: No. 10 Texas at No. 4 Tennessee
This matchup headlines the SEC/Big 12 challenge, pitting two potential top seeds in the NCAA Tournament against each other. Kevin Sweeney currently has the Volunteers as the No. 1 seed in the East region while the Longhorns are pegged as a No. 2 seed. But, Sweeney writes, Texas can make its case to be a top seed with its multiple high-quality wins and lack head-scratching losses. Now, the Longhorns face a stiff out-of-conference test against former coach Rick Barnes.
