Paolo Banchero, Evan Mobley Headline NBA Rising Stars
It’s the start of NBA All-Star weekend! We’ve got a dunk contest (featuring Mac McClung) to look forward to tomorrow night before the All-Star Game on Sunday, but tonight things get underway with the Rising Stars and Celebrity Game. It should be a fun weekend with the sport taking center stage now that football season is officially over. Plus, don’t miss the start of the college baseball season today and a couple of interesting matchups in the NHL.
Here’s what I’m watching today.
MUST WATCH:
Rising Stars tournament
Some of the best young players in the NBA will get the All-Star festivities underway tonight in Utah. Top rookies, second-year players and G League standouts have been divided into four teams for a three-game mini-tournament that will feature the likes of Paolo Banchero, Jabari Smith, Josh Giddey, Evan Mobley and top 2023 draft prospect Scoot Henderson. I’m most excited to watch Team Pau, coached by Pau Gasol and featuring the likes of Banchero, Bennedict Mathurin and Scottie Barnes.
9 p.m. ET, TNT
