Men’s College Basketball Schedule Features Top-10 Matchup, Conference Title Races, Bubble Teams Needing Wins
The last Saturday in February is upon us, and it’s filled with consequential men’s college basketball games. Headlined by a contest impacting the top of the Big 12, the slate has multiple ranked matchups and features bubble teams with chances for signature wins. And off the hardwood, Major League Soccer begins its 2023 season.
Here’s what I’m watching today.

Men’s CBB: No. 8 Texas at No. 9 Baylor
Since the firing of coach Chris Beard, Texas has steadied itself, quietly building one of the best tournament résumés in the country. Currently a No. 2 seed, according to Kevin Sweeney, the Longhorns still have a shot to climb onto the top line of the bracket, but this in-state matchup starts a brutal three-game stretch to finish out Big 12 play: at No. 24 TCU and vs. No. 3 Kansas. Baylor, on the other hand, had surged back into the national title conversation with a 10–1 stretch but has since dropped back-to-back road games against ranked teams.
