The 2022 FIFA World Cup gets underway on Nov. 20, with host nation Qatar taking on Ecuador. But for fans of England, you'll have to wait until the next day to see the team take on Iran to begin group play. England will face the United States, Wales and Iran in the group stage, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the knockout stage. England is the heavy favorite in the group after finishing fourth in 2018, but the 2014 England team failed to get out of the group stage.

The schedule for England in the group stage looks like this:

Nov. 21: England vs Iran - 8:00 a.m. ET - FOX Sports 1

Nov. 25: England vs United States - 2:00 p.m. ET - FOX

Nov. 29: England vs Wales - 2:00 p.m. ET - FOX Sports 1

This is arguably the toughest draw in this World Cup, as it has the highest average FIFA rating of any of the groups. Each team is ranked in the top 20 in FIFA's October 2022 rankings, with England ranked fifth, the United States ranked 16th, Wales ranked 19th and Iran ranked 20th. While England enters as the favorite, anything can happen over a three-game sample, especially with such a strong group.
