Elsewhere on the card, flyweight C.J. Vergara (11-4-1) looks for his second straight win when he steps into the octagon to face Brazil’s Vinicius Salvador (14-5) who lost his UFC debut back in March via unanimous decision to Victor Altamirano. Vergara signed with the UFC in 2021 after winning via knockout in Dana White’s Contender Series.

Bonfim has seen all 14 of his professional bouts finish inside the distance seeing the third round twice. After plowing his way through South American MMA promotions, Bonfim went 2-0 in the LFA before landing a spot in DWCS in September of 2022 when he submitted Trey Waters with a shoulder choke. In his UFC debut, the 25-year-old Brazilian needed just 49 seconds to submit Mounir Lazzez with a guillotine choke.
Also on the undercard Russia’s Roman Kopylov (10-2) faces Claudio Ribeiro (11-3) in a middleweight bout as Kopylov looks for his third straight win in the UFC.
Welterweight Darrius Flowers (12-5-1) makes his UFC debut against Jake Matthews (18-6) who has lost two of his last three bouts.
