As the season begins to wind down, Penn State will hit the road to take on Purdue in a Big Ten matchup on Saturday night in women's college volleyball. The Nittany Lions are 19-6 on the season with a conference record of 8-6. Although their conference record doesn't look great, the Big Ten conference is one of the strongest volleyball conferences in the nation and is good enough to give the Nittany Lions a spot at No. 16 in the top 25. On Sunday, Penn State beat Rutgers in straight sets marking the program's 1400th win since its inception becoming only the second team in history to reach the milestone.

Purdue is sitting just ahead of Penn State in the top 25 at No. 15 with an overall record of 18-7 and a conference record of 9-6. The Boilermakers lost their last match to No. 6 Ohio State in a 1-3 defeat.

Eva Hudson led the team offensively with 13 kills and added eight digs to keep the backcourt as clear as possible, but it wasn't enough in the end.

The last time Penn State and Purdue met resulted in a tight 3-2 victory for Purdue.
