In the two wins this season the Gamecocks averaged 71.0 points per game while allowing just 61.5 points per game to the Volunteers. They played in the regular season finale where the Volunteers pushed the Gamecocks to the limit in a 76-68 game.
Jackson led all scorers with 29 points shooting 11-23 from the field and 7-10 from the line as she nearly led the Volunteers to an upset win. Jewel Spear and Jasmine Powell both finished with 12 points each making all four of the teams three-point field goals.
For the Gamecocks, they had five players score in double-figures led by Kamilla Cardoso with 18 points and 14 rebounds on 6-13 shooting. Te-Hina Paopao (14 points and four assists), Bree Hall (13 points and six rebounds), freshman MiLaysia Fulwiley (13 points and three steals) and Ashlyn Watkins (13 points and four rebounds off the bench) gave the offense balance in the win.
