The Huskies bring an overall record of 18-3 and a conference record of 2-1 into this weekend's series. The team opened conference play against Arizona State last weekend, winning the first two games before falling in the series finale in a 9-3 loss to break a 10 game losing streak. Against the Sun Devils, the team produced nine hits, but had trouble getting base runners home. Rylee Holtorf went 2-for-3 with one RBI from a solo home run in the seventh while Brooke Nelson had the other RBI for the Huskies. Brooklyn Carter scored the first run of the game on a throwing error. Ruby Meylan took the loss in the circle for Washington to move to 7-2 on the season after pitching one inning and giving up four earned runs.
Last year's series between these two teams resulted in a sweep for Washington.
