Warren Lincoln (23-4) and Grand Rapids Christian (25-2) came to the Breslin Center in East Lansing as the two top-ranked Division 2 teams in Michigan and will meet Saturday night for the state championship in a rematch of a matchup earlier this season. The Abes handed the Eagles their first loss of the season with a 49-47 victory at Kentwood back on Jan. 20. It is Lincoln's first state championship game appearance while it has been a long drought for Grand Rapids Christian, which last played for a title when it won the Lower Peninsula Class B championship in 1938.

The Abes rode their depth to a 60-48 semifinal victory over Flint Powers Catholic on Friday. Lincoln has four players averaging at least nine points per game but no true star and its bench outscored the Chargers' reserves 27-1 en route to the win. Markus Blackwell scored 20 points while Christopher Morgan led the bench gang with 14.
The Eagles held off a late rally by Chelsea in its 50-41 semifinal win on Friday. Jaylan Ouwinga finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds while Nate Johnson also scored 13 points and Tyler Davis added 10.
Warren Lincoln dethroned defending state champion Ferndale 66-44 in a district final back on March 1 while Grand Rapids Christian knocked off Grand Rapids South Christian, last year's runner-up, 52-49 in its district championship game.
