Top-seeded Columbus Catholic (28-2) took care of business in Friday's Wisconsin Division 5 semifinal and will take on the No. 3 seed, Abundant Life Christian (28-2) on Saturday for the state championship. It will be a first state title for the winner, as the the Challengers from Madison's Abundant Life Christian are at the state tournament for the first time in school history while the Dons from Columbus Catholic in Marshfield lost in their only previous state final appearance back in 2019. The semifinals and finals are played at the Kohl Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Columbus Catholic weathered an opening punch from No. 4 seed Solon Springs on Friday, coming back from an early deficit and pulling away in the second half for a 78-65 victory. Cy Becker finished with 24 points and Charlie Moore knocked down 15 as the Dons stayed hot from 3-point range, hitting 13-of-26. The 13 made 3s set a new Division 5 state tournament single-game record.
The Challengers led by as much as 11 in the first half and survived a cold-shooting second 18 minutes during which they were just 4-of-24 to beat second-seeded Almond-Bancroft 42-37. Jonah Koon led Abundant Life Christian with 13 points while Jacob Koon added 11.
The Dons are in their fourth state tournament, with semifinal losses in 2003 and 2017 prior to their loss in the 2019 championship game. Abundant Life Christian lost in a regional final last season.
