On Tuesday, the Tigers host the defending division champion Minnesota Twins at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida, with three straight spring training wins under their belts. Minnesota has dropped its last two games in Grapefruit League play. Last season, the Twins broke a streak of 18 consecutive postseason losses and won their first playoff series since 2002 before losing to the Houston Astros in the ALDS.

Detroit rallied with four runs in the top of the eighth to down the Astros 5-3 on Monday. Eddys Leonard and Trei Cruz delivered back-to-back two-run singles in the eighth while starter Reese Olson allowed one run on two hits over four innings.
The Twins had just three hits on Monday in a 3-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Chris Paddack had his best outing of the spring, working around six hits and two walks to allow just one run in four innings. Brooks Lee had the only extra-base hit of the day, a double off Atlanta flame-thrower Spencer Strider in the fifth.
Former Twin Kenta Maeda, who signed with the Tigers in November, makes his third start of the spring for Detroit. In five innings, he's given up three runs, two earned, on six hits. Right-hander Joe Ryan takes the ball for Minnesota. In two Florida starts, he has surrendered three runs in five innings.
