Whit Merrifield delivered for the Phillies yet again, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. David Dahl also recorded two hits in the win and had one RBI. The other runs were brought in by Weston Wilson, Edmundo Sosa and Brandon Marsh. The final run was brought in on a throwing error by Triston Casas. Ranger Suárez got the win on the mound for the Phillies, pitching 3.2 innings and striking out five batters.

The Astros dropped to 9-10 in spring training last night after falling to the Nationals in a 5-3 loss. Kyle Tucker went 3-for-5 at the plate for the Astros and had two RBI in the loss while Jake Meyers accounted for the team's other run with his only hit of the game. While the Astros produced 11 hits, they had a hard time bringing runs home. Brandon Bielak took the loss on the mound, pitching three innings and striking out two batters while giving up three earned runs.
When the Phillies and Astros last met during spring training play, the Phillies earned a 6-3 victory.
