Opposing Kirby is left-hander Andrew Abbott (0-0) in his fourth start of spring training. The young lefty is also looking for his first win after pitching eight innings with eight strikeouts in his first three appearances on the mound. Last season Abbott had a terrific rookie season for Cincinnati going 8-6 in 21 starts with 120 strikeouts and a 3.87 ERA.
