So far in his first two games Kirby has five strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched and a 12.27 ERA as he goes for his first win in spring training against Cincinnati.

Opposing Kirby is left-hander Andrew Abbott (0-0) in his fourth start of spring training. The young lefty is also looking for his first win after pitching eight innings with eight strikeouts in his first three appearances on the mound. Last season Abbott had a terrific rookie season for Cincinnati going 8-6 in 21 starts with 120 strikeouts and a 3.87 ERA.

Both teams have a lot of young talent on the roster looking to help push San Francisco and Cincinnati to the playoffs this season after promising seasons last year, finishing with 79 and 82 wins respectively.
