On the mound in this second game for both teams is a right-handed pitching duel between Chicago’s Jake Woodford (0-0) and Seattle's Luis Castillo (1-1). Both pitchers will look to lead their reduced rosters to a win today.
So far in spring training Castillo has a 3.38 ERA in three starts with eight strikeouts in eight total innings. He is warming up for the regular season after going 14-9 last season with 219 strikeouts in 33 starts. Woodford only started eight games last season going 2-3 with 29 strikeouts.
Chicago has some of the top rated prospects in baseball with Colson Montgomery as the ninth overall prospect playing shortstop and Drew Thorpe as the 85th ranked prospect as a right-handed pitcher who are both expected to play on the main roster this season.
