In game one of the semifinals the Cold Hearts built up a 38-31 lead at the half and were in great shape. Then, in the second half the City Reapers stormed back to take a one point lead heading into the final period, which was as exciting as any in the Overtime Elite this season.
Trey Parker (20 points), Kanon Catchings (17 points) and Adam Oumiddoch (15 points) all finished in double-figures for the Cold Hearts in the win. They closed out the game going 28-34 from the free-throw line led by Brown who went 15-19 from the stripe.
The City Reapers were led by Bryson Tiller with 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the loss. Efeosa Oliogu (19 points), Amari Evans (17 points) and Parker Robinson (12 points) all finished in double-figures in the loss. Getting off to a stronger start on both ends of the floor will be a huge key in the City Reapers extending this series to a third and deciding game.
