The Tigers will look to complete a perfect conference season with a win over the Devilettes on Saturday. The team is now 22-6 overall and an undefeated 17-0 in conference play to have won an outright SWAC regular season title. On Thursday night, the Tigers played third-place Arkansas-Pine Bluff which resulted in an 82-67 win at home. Angel Jackson put up a 19-point performance to pace five Tigers to double-digit finishes. Miya Crump earned a double-double in the win with a team-high 12 rebounds and 14 points.
Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State met earlier this season and the game resulted in a 70-54 win for Jackson State. With that victory under their belts, the Tigers should be able to finish conference play with an undefeated record of 18-0.
