Langford, the No. 4 overall pick out of the University of Florida, swatted a fourth-inning grand slam on Thursday to give Texas a 7-0 lead en route to a 7-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Marcus Semien added an RBI double in the win and right-hander Jon Gray worked five scoreless innings.
Colorado had its four-game winning streak ended with a 13-7 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. Alan Trejo drove in four runs with a three-run homer and a sacrifice fly in the loss. A seven-run outburst in the fourth-inning swung the tide against the Rockies.
Right-hander Ryan Feltner gets the ball for Colorado on Friday. He has allowed six runs in six innings of work over three appearances. The Rangers counter with right-hander Dane Dunning, who has seven strikeouts in six innings and has given up six runs in three starts in Arizona.
