How to Watch Hornets at 76ers: Stream NBA Live, TV Channel
Heading into today the Philadelphia 76ers (36-30) have struggled to find any momentum losing two straight games and seven of the last 10 overall. This stretch has dropped them down to eighth place in the Eastern Conference, into the Play-In Tournament if the season ended today. Every win matters at this stage in the season for seeding, making this game against the young Charlotte Hornets (17-50) a must-win. Tyrese Maxey and Philadelphia are just a half-game out of sixth place and two and a half games out of fifth place in a crowded Eastern Conference. This season Maxey has taken a huge leap as an All-Star and Philadelphia needs him to play like that every game with Joel Embiid still out.

Since Embiid’s injury took him out of the lineup Maxey is averaging 26.7 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game on 45-41-87 splits. He is coming off a 30-point outing in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks where he played great, but the team fell short.
Philadelphia will also need veteran Tobias Harris and trade deadline addition Buddy Hield to play much better down the stretch. Since Embiid’s injury Harris has only scored 20-plus points in consecutive games once while Hield, who got off to a hot start after the trade, has averaged just 11.5 points per game mainly as a reserve in the last 12 games.
This is the final game of the season against Charlotte, with only six total games left on the schedule against teams under .500 this season for Philadelphia. Every game against teams under .500 is an opportunity for Philadelphia to earn a higher playoff seed.
