Philadelphia face Costa Rican giant Saprissa in the first round of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, with the Union taking a 3-2 win at Ricardo Saprissa Aymé Stadium in the first leg. Julián Carranza scored all three goals to give Philly the one-goal lead.
The MLS side then drew 3-3 with Saprissa in the second leg at Subaru Park, thanks to goals from Carranza, Quinn Sullivan and Mikael Uhre.
