The Atlanta Vibe look for their 4th straight win to open the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation season as they host the Grand Rapids Rise at Gas South Arena.

The Atlanta Vibe (3-0) are the early leaders in the first season of the Pro Volleyball Federation and are at home on Friday night when they host the Grand Rapids Rise (1-0) at Gas South Arena in suburban Duluth. The PVF has seven teams active this season. Besides the Vibe and Rise, the Columbus Fury, Omaha Supernovas, Orlando Valkyries, San Diego Mojo and Vegas Thrill are competing, with three expansion teams committed to join the league in 2025 in Dallas, Indianapolis and Kansas City. The league announced its formation in November 2022., Grand Rapids was the first franchise awarded. Among the founding partners of the PVF is former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer.

Atlanta last played on Feb. 1, sweeping the San Diego Mojo in three sets. Leah Edmond recorded 16 kills in 27 attacks and also served up a pair of aces, libero Morgan Hentz notched 13 digs while Leketor Member-Meneh added 10. Shelly Fanning had six points on blocks.

The Rise is playing for the first time since sweeping the visiting Columbus Fury on Jan. 25. Claire Chaussee led the attack with 21 kills and also had two service aces. Sarah Sponcil had 16 digs, Marin Grote and Kayla Caffey scored three blocks each and Ashley Evans set up 36 assists.

Grand Rapids returns home on Monday to host Omaha while Atlanta wraps up its three-match homestand against Orlando the same night.
