How to Watch White Sox at Padres: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres play in MLB spring training today.

Heading into today’s spring training game between the Chicago White Sox (4-11) and San Diego Padres (7-8) are both on minor losing streaks. Chicago has lost three straight games while San Diego comes into this game losing two straight games. Both teams are near the bottom of the Cactus League standings and could use a win today to get back on track and build more momentum heading into the regular season. Overall San Diego has played well in spring training, but losing the last two games took away from a stretch where the team won six of eight games and was starting to build momentum.

On the mound today for San Diego is veteran right-hander Matt Waldron (1-0) who has already appeared in three games this spring training. In those three games he has pitched 9.0 innings with eight strikeouts and a 1.00 ERA.

He takes on right-hander Michael Soroka for Chicago who is playing his second game this spring training. In his first game he only pitched two innings with two strikeouts finishing with a 4.50 ERA. Soroka looks to get his first win of spring training and lead Chicago to a win to get back on track.

Jackson Merrill is a player to watch for San Diego as the 12th ranked prospect in the Top 100. He is expected to be with the team this season and has shown promise as a multi-positional threat and left-handed batter to throw off opposing pitchers.
