How to Watch Nicaragua vs. Venezuela: Stream Caribbean Series Baseball Live, TV Channel

Venezuela can lock in the top seed for the knockout round at the 2024 Caribbean Series with a victory on Wednesday night over winless Nicaragua at loanDepot Park in Miami.

Venezuela (4-1) put itself in the driver's seat for the top seed at the 2024 Caribbean Series with a victory over previously unbeaten Panamá and now can lock up that position on Wednesday night against Nicaragua (0-5) in the final preliminary-round game of the tournament. Venezuela, represented by domestic league champion Tiburones de La Guaira and managed by former World Series winner Ozzie Guillén, had to overcome some late roster shuffling as just 15 of their original players were able to obtain visas to come to Miami. Nicaraguan league champion Gigantes de Rivas is the first team from the Central American nation to play in the Caribbean Series.

Venezuela came from behind on Tuesday night to post a 5-4 victory over Panamá, with Hernan Pérez delivering a bases-clearing double in the sixth to give the Tiburones a 4-3 lead. Pérez also had an RBI double in the second and Alcides Escobar's seventh-inning home run provided needed insurance.

Nicaragua fell behind México 5-0 after just three innings and couldn't make it back, taking a 5-2 loss. Norlando Valle provided some excitement with a steal of home in the fourth inning as part of a double steal and later doubled home a run in the sixth.

Venezuela's Alexi Amarista, who didn't play Tuesday, leads the series in batting (.563) and on-base percentage (.579) to go with a series-high nine hits.
