In a heavyweight matchup between two of the top teams in college basketball with championship aspirations, No. 2 Houston visits No. 11 Baylor at Foster Pavilion in Waco on Saturday. The second-ranked Cougars have won four straight games to improve their tremendous record to 23-3 overall with a 10-3 mark in conference play. Houston is a more modest 4-3 on the road this season, with a perfect 15-0 record on its home court. Baylor, on the other hand, dropped to 19-7 with an 8-5 pace in conference play with a loss to BYU earlier this week in Provo. This is just the third-ever matchup between these two Big 12 teams, with Baylor winning 78-59 back in the 2021 season.

Most recently, Houston took the top spot in the Big 12 standings with a 73-65 victory over Iowa State on Monday night at home. Sophomore guard Emanuel Sharp led the way with 20 points and four steals as the Cougars won their 20th consecutive game at home, which is the longest active home winning streak in the country.
As for Baylor, the Bears were upset by No. 25 BYU in a 78-71 loss in Provo earlier this week. BYU hit 14 three-pointers in the win to outscore the favored Bears, who got 15 points from Jalen Bridges in the loss.
