Regular season play will come to a close on Tuesday night for San Jose State and Nevada as the teams meet at the Lawlor Events Center for the final Mountain West game ahead of tournament play. The Spartans are just one spot out of last place in the standings with a Mountain West record of 2-15 and an overall record of 7-22. On Saturday, the team celebrated its seniors in style by breaking a 14-game losing streak to beat Colorado State in a 68-56 win. Sofia Kelemeni paced four Spartans to double digit finishes with her team-high 16 points. Marisa Davis-Jones led the team on the boards with nine rebounds.

The Wolf Pack broke a three-game losing streak on Saturday when they beat second place New Mexico in a narrow 83-82 victory to bring their overall record to 15-15 and their conference record to 9-8 for a spot in seventh place in the Mountain West standings. Against the Lobos, Lexie Givens had a monster night, finishing the game with a career-high 27 points and team-leading eight rebounds to lead the team to a win.

Nevada has won six straight games against San Jose State with the most recent being a 64-57 victory back in January.
