The Hokies look to bounce back in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament against a Miami (18-11) team that is also coming off a loss. This season the Hokies have played like a team capable of making another run to the Final Four for most of the season, but have also lost back-to-back games two times this season. Seniors Elizabeth Kitley and Georgia Amoore look to lead the Hokies back to the win column today in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

This season the teams have only played once with the Hokies winning 76-52 back in January. In that game the Hokies started off slow, but built a 16-point lead at the half and entered the final period up by 18 points.
In that win Kitley led the way with 31 points and 11 rebounds on 11-19 shooting from the field. Amoore added 16 points and six assists, but struggled from the field shooting just 2-10 from three where she has shot so well this season. Those two have formed the best traditional point guard-center duo in women’s college basketball this season.
Shayeann Day-Wilson (19 points and four assists) and Ja’Leah Williams (10 points and eight rebounds) were the only Hurricanes to finish the game in double-figures. They will need to play arguably their best game of the season to defeat a Hokies team that is motivated to get back on track today.
