The win snapped a two-game losing streak and improved their record to 19-11 overall and 12-7 in the Big East. It was a huge win for their tournament hopes and Saturday they will look to avoid a damaging loss and beat the Blue Demons. The Pirates had no problems winning in the first meeting between the two teams as they won 72-39 back on January 30th and will be looking to do much of the same on Saturday.

The Blue Demons, though, are looking to avenge that loss and shock the Pirates and get a big road win.
It would be a huge upset if the Blue Demons could come away with the win as they have lost 18 straight games and have yet to win a Big East game. They have rarely been in any game and the only team that hasn't beat them by double digits is Georgetown.
Tuesday they gave up 104 points in a 27-point loss to St. John's. It was the fourth time this season they have given up at least 100 points.
