The winner of this game moves on to play top-seeded UNLV in the quarterfinals.

During the regular season the Bulldogs won both matchups against the Falcons. The most recent game came just about a month ago and was the more competitive with the Bulldogs winning 74-68.
In that game the Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-13 after the first period and held off the Falcons in the final period where they were outscored 20-14. Mia Jacobs led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds on 4-of-5 shooting from the field and 7-of-8 shooting from the free throw line.
The Falcons had four players score in double figures led by Milahnie Perry with 19 points. Madison Smith (16 points), Jayda McNabb (10 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals) and Alexis Cortez (10 points) all scored in double-figures in a tough, close regular season loss.
