How to Watch College Football Playoff Selection Show: Stream Free Live, TV Channel, Time

With conference championships locked up, all eyes turn to the College Football Playoff selection show on Sunday to find out who's in and who's out.

The nightmare scenario for the SEC happened on Saturday when Alabama defeated Georgia for the conference championship, leaving the conference with two one-loss teams at the top, one of which lost to another playoff contender that also only has one loss, Texas. The other big question for the committee is what will it do with Florida State? The Seminoles are a clear frontrunner to be among the final four teams in college football but will be without star quarterback Jordan Travis for the final one or two games of their season. So what will the College Football Playoff committee do on Sunday? You can find out today at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN, and even watch it for free using a free trial on Fubo.

If Travis were healthy, this would not be a discussion and Florida State fans wouldn't have to sweat out today's process. But he isn't healthy and the team's offense has looked unimpressive in wins without him over the last two weeks over rival Florida and Louisville.

The Seminoles have the resume at 13-0 - with wins over LSU, Clemson and Louisville this season, all of whom will be ranked today, and eight win over bowl-bound teams -  to be in the playoff. But will the committee go with the fan logic of But are they really among the four best teams in the country now without Travis? and leave an undefeated power-five conference championship out of the festivities?

Maybe unlikely but not impossible.

So does that mean the unthinkable will happen and the SEC will get left out of the playoff in 2023? Georgia is 12-1 but seventh in ESPN's Strength of Record rankings. Its most impressive win was over 8-2 Ole Miss and it does boast two other wins over ranked teams.

Alabama, meanwhile, the reigning SEC champion, is 12-1, with its most impressive win being over Georgia - the best win of any playoff contender on paper - but it has a pesky loss to Texas on its resume... who's also 12-1 and coming off a dominant win over Oklahoma State for the Big 12 title.

The Bulldogs will more than likely be out but it's impossible to predict what the committee will do in picking between Alabama and Texas. You'd like for the head-to-head win by the Longhorns over Alabama - in Tuscaloosa, no less, and by two scores - to be the deciding factor here, but you just never know what the selection committee is going to do. Will the Longhorns be punished for their surprising loss to 10-2 Oklahoma back in October?

Or will both be in, leaving a 13-0 ACC champion Florida State team out in the cold?

At least Michigan and Washington fans can rest easy today, as both took care of business impressively this weekend, winning the Big Ten and Pac-12 titles respectively to complete undefeated campaigns.

Tune into ESPN at noon EST on Sunday to watch the College Football Playoff selection show and find out who's in and who's out of the prestigious event.
