The Demon Deacons have played to a draw in its last two games to bring their overall record to 11-1-5. The team's most recent game resulted in a 2-2 draw against Louisville to close out regular season play. Jahlane Forbes scored the first goal of the game, his fourth of the season, to give the team a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals came back to score two goals to go ahead of the Demon Deacons before halftime. In the 80th minute of play, Hosei Kijima netted his third goal of the year to even the score. The Demon Deacons challenged the Cardinals' defense with an additional seven shots on goal, but couldn't put one more in to earn the win.
When Wake Forest and UNC met earlier this season, the Demon Deacons earned a narrow 1-0 victory so Sunday's game should be a true battle between the North Carolina rivals.
