The Fighting Irish are making their third College Cup appearance in program history, including their second in the last three years. The program is 2-0-1 at the College Cup in its history, as well as 22-20-7 in the NCAA championships overall. Notre Dame won the College Cup in 2013, defeating Maryland by a score of 2-1 to capture the title. It was the program’s first trip to the College Cup. The Irish did not advance, however, from the semifinal in 2021, drawing against Clemson with a score of 1-1 before falling in penalties. Notre Dame and Oregon State will face each other on Friday evening for just the third time in series history.
