Only four teams remain in the NCAA Tournament in women's volleyball and on Thursday night, Nebraska and Pitt will meet for a chance to play in the National Championship on Sunday. The Panthers are now on a nine-game winning streak after beating second-seeded Louisville in a five-set battle in the regional final to bring their overall record to 29-4 on the season. Torrey Stafford led Pitt's offensive efforts against Louisville with an 18-kill performance and Olivia Babcock wasn't far behind, finishing the game with 16 kills. Rachel Fairbanks supported offensive play with 48 assists on the day to help lead the team to victory. Defensively, Emmy Klika and Torrey Stafford each collected 11 digs.

The Cornhuskers improved their overall record to 32-1 after beating Arkansas in four sets in the regional final, bringing the team's winning streak to five games. Merritt Beason led the offense on the attack once again, finishing the game with 19 kills. Harper Murray was also in double digits with 15 kills, receiving support from Bergen Reilly, who turned in 40 assists in the win. Lexi Rodriguez finished the game with 20 digs to cover the back line, helping to hold off the Razorbacks and earn a spot in the semifinals.
Pitt and Nebraska have met 14 times in the teams' histories and Nebraska has won every meeting.
