The 110th Big Ten wrestling championships will kick off Saturday morning at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Maryland with the University of Michigan hosting the event for the first time ever. All 14 conference schools are participating in the championships, which begin with the first round, quarterfinals and wrestlebacks in Session I before consolation, wrestleback matches and semifinals take place during Session II. The action will continue Sunday with consolation semifinals and seventh-place matches getting underway during Session III and the first-, third- and fifth-place matches highlighting Session IV. With the Big Ten being home to some of the best wrestlers in the nation, this weekend should be an exciting one for wrestling fans.

No. 1 Penn State finished the season with a perfect 8-0 record against Big Ten opponents while No. 6 Ohio State finished right behind them with a record of 7-1. The Buckeyes lone loss came against the Nittany Lions in a 28-9 defeat a month ago. Third place Iowa finished the season with a conference record of 6-2, but still sits at No. 3 in the national rankings coming into the Big Ten Championships.
