A hefty $3.6 million prize and 700 FedExCup points await the winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Bay Hill, Florida. One of the PGA Tour's signature events, the event carries a $20 million purse and is one of just five events given "invitational" status by the Tour. Austin Eckroat got the final seat at the table with his win last weekend at the Cognizant Classic, earning one of the invitations extended to winners on Tour from the previous year. Kurt Kitayama is the defending champion as he topped Harris English and Rory McIlroy by one stroke to claim the red cardigan sweater in memory of Arnold Palmer.

Tiger Woods, who is not in the field this year, has won the event a record eight times, including four straight from 2000-03. No other player has won more than twice, most recently Matt Every going back-to-back in 2014-15.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler won the event in 2022 and McIlroy, currently ranked No. 2, claimed the title in 2018. Kitayama returns to Bay Hill playing well, having made the cut in all five events he's played in 2024. Nine of the top 10 players on the Official World Golf Ranking are in Bay Hill, with Jon Rahm being the lone exception after jumping to the LIV Golf League.
Bay Hill has hosted the tournament under various names since 1979 and has proven challenging, with single-digit under-par winning scores in three of the last four years.
