Gordon (14-0) takes on two-time defending state champion Westbrook (13-1) on Wednesday morning at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to decide the Texas 1A Six-Man Division I state title. The Wildcats have won 13 consecutive games since dropping its season opener to Knox City back on Aug. 24. The Longhorns have outscored their opponents 823-116 this season, with their closest games decided by 46 points. Gordon beat Strawn 46-0 on Sept. 9, topped Bryson 54-8 on Oct. 13 and knocked off Jonesboro in the semifinal round of the state tournament on Dec. 2 at Weatherford Kangaroo Stadium. Westbrook knocked off Happy 32-16 in its semifinal at Lubbock Christian High School on Dec. 1.

Grayson Jeffrey ran for two touchdowns and Keegan Gilbreath finished with 101 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the Wildcats' semifinal win over Happy, taking control of the game in the second half after the teams went to the locker rooms at halftime tied 16-16.
The Longhorns rolled past Bryson on Dec. 2 in a game that ended at halftime under Texas' 45-point mercy rule. Brayden Walters finished with four catches for 124 yards and three touchdowns and also scored on an interception return. Noah Kostiha threw two touchdown passes, Stryker Reed tossed one and Whit Fuller also threw for a score.
The rules for six-man football include playing on a smaller field, 80 yards by 40 yards, with the teams playing 10-minute quarters. Additionally, the offense must advance 15 yards to receive a new set of downs rather than the 10 yards in the 11-man game.
