In the championship series, teams will compete in Olympic Sixes, the game format set to bring lacrosse back to the Olympics for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games. The format is marked by fast-paced play on a condensed field with a shortened shot clock, and faceoffs limited to the start of each quarter. The league debuted this sixes format in the 2023 Championship Series in which Chrome Lacrosse Club took home the trophy.
Along with the Redwoods and Waterdogs, the Boston Cannons and Utah Archers will play in Virginia with the hopes of hoisting the trophy at the conclusion of the tournament on Monday.
