During round robin play Philadelphia won all three matches and then held on to advance to the championship match. These two will now battle it out to see who will become the Premier Lacrosse League champions.

During round robin play Boston lost two of its three matches, but came out victorious in the semifinals. They have survived the round robin and semifinals, while their opponents, Philadelphia, have consistently played better than the rest of the field.

In Boston’s semifinal win it got a victory over California after losing to the team in round robin play. Boston won every quarter, slowly building a lead throughout the match to close out for a 23-15 win. The team will need to play its best overall match to have a shot at doing the same against Philadelphia, who beat Boston handily earlier.

That round robin win for Philadelphia came down to the first and third quarters. Philadelphia won 8-2 in both the first and third allowing it to take the wind out of Boston’s sails and cruise to a win. The rematch here in the championship should be much more competitive between the teams with the season on the line.
