Toronto has been banged up this spring but should get starting pitchers Kevin Gausman, Alek Manoah and Ricky Tiedemann back soon while catcher Danny Jansen now has a contract and second baseman Cavan Biggio may play as soon as Friday after a shoulder issue. Detroit lost left-handed starter Eduardo Rodriguez in free agency and reliever Brendan White may see game action this weekend after dealing with an elbow problem.

The Blue Jays couldn't hold a two-run lead in the eighth inning and lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5 on Tuesday. Nathan Lukes and Will Robertson had RBI doubles in the loss while starter José Berríos worked three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
The Tigers were blanked on Tuesday 3-0 by the Atlanta Braves, committing three errors in the field and mustering just six hits. Detroit is hitting just .226 this spring and two of Atlanta's three runs were unearned. Starter Reese Olson struck out four and allowed two hits in three scoreless innings and Wilmer Flores backed him up with three Ks in two shutout frames.
Free-agent addition Kenta Maeda takes the ball first for the Tigers on Thursday after allowing an unearned run in two innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. Bowden Francis worked 2.1 scoreless innings in relief on Saturday, striking out three, and is set to make his third spring appearance for Toronto.
