This is one of the toughest stretches the Utah Jazz have had all season and it doesn't get any easier Thursday night against the Orlando Magic. The Jazz have lost six of their last seven games and they are trying to avoid losing five straight on the road. It doesn't help their cause that the Magic have won four of their last five games. Orlando bounced back in a big way from a recent loss against Atlanta with an impressive win against Brooklyn on Tuesday. The Magic beat the Nets 108-81 in a great defensive showing. Franz Wagner led the game with 21 points and he scored 17 of those in the first half. The win was even more impressive considering that Orlando was without its best player in Paolo Banchero. The Magic All-Star missed his second consecutive game with an illness. Banchero is still listed as questionable for tonight's game.

Utah lost its last game against Atlanta on Tuesday as the Hawks brought the hammer down on defense also winning 124-97. Collin Sexton led Utah with 22 points but it wasn't enough with Atlanta leading the game wire-to-wire. The Magic won in the first matchup between these two back in November on the road in a very close 115-113 game. Orlando is the 5.5-point favorite at home tonight. The Magic have the chance to jump into first place in the Southeast standings tonight sitting just a half-game back of the Miami Heat.
