The St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders square off in St. Louis on Thursday night.

With the visitors coming off a big overtime win to keep pace in the playoff race earlier this week, the New York Islanders head to the Enterprise Center for a matchup with the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night. The Islanders are currently tied for fourth place in the Metropolitan with 60 points on a 23-18-14 pace this season. New York is four points out of a Wild Card spot in the East, and are 4-3-3 in their last 10 games with a 10-11-5 record on the road this season. St. Louis, on the other hand, has lost two consecutive games to drop as they cling to the final Wild Card spot in the West with 60 points on a 29-24-2 pace. This is the first of two matchups between these teams over the next month.

Most recently, the Islanders outlasted the Penguins in overtime in a 5-4 victory over the Pens on Tuesday night. Adam Pelech scored 57 seconds into overtime to lift New York to a win, his first goal since last April. Brock Nelson also scored his 24th goal of the year for the Islanders.

As for St. Louis, the Blues dropped their second-straight game in a 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs on Monday night in St. Louis. Maple Leafs star Austin Matthews scored his NHL-leading 49th goal in the win for Toronto, while Brandon Saad and Pavel Buchnevich scored for the Blues.

The Blues look to keep pace in the Western Conference against the Islanders on Thursday night.
