With the home team holding on to the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, the Nashville Predators welcome the Ottawa Senators to Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night.

The Predators have won five consecutive games to jump into the playoff picture with 66 points on a 32-25-2 pace this season. Nashville has a four-point lead over St. Louis and Minnesota for the final playoff spot, while its only two points behind the Kings for the first Wild Card spot. Ottawa, on the other hand, is sitting near the bottom of the Eastern Conference with 53 points. Earlier this season, the Senators took down the Predators in overtime by a final score of 4-3.

Most recently, the Preds won their fifth consecutive game with a 4-2 victory over the Ducks in Anaheim on Sunday night. Filip Forsberg broke a tie in the third period and added an assist for a two-point night in the win. Nashville won all five games on a road trip for the first time in team history.

As for Ottawa, the Senators upset the Golden Knights in a 4-3 shootout win on Saturday night. Tim Stutzie scored the game-winner in the shootout as the Sens overcame a two-goal deficit.

The Predators look to stay hot when they host the Senators on Tuesday night.
