Tampa spent the weekend in the Greater New York Area, playing a Saturday-Sunday back-to-back against the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils. The Lightning picked up wins in both games, topping the Islanders 4-2 then beating the Devils 4-1. Right wing Nikita Kucherov had a big weekend with seven total points between the two games, scoring two goals and adding five assists. Those points put Kucherov over the century mark for the season, and entering play on Tuesday he leads the NHL in points with 102 on the season, six ahead of Nathan MacKinnon who is in second place in that category.

Now, Kucherov and the Lightning go for the three-game road trip sweep on Tuesday against a Flyers team they've already played once this season. The two sides met back in late January in Philly, in a game Tampa won 6-3.
That game was another big one for Kucherov. He put up four points against Philly last time out, including a hat trick. Tampa scored six goals on just 21 shots in that one, while the Flyers outshot them with 32 pucks on net.
