How to Watch Islanders at Red Wings: Stream NHL Live, TV Channel

The Detroit Red Wings go for their seventh win in a row when they host the New York Islanders on Thursday night.

Entering play on Thursday, no team in the NHL has a longer active winning streak than the Detroit Red Wings (33-20-6). Detroit has won its last six games, a stretch that has vaulted the Red Wings right into the middle of the playoff picture. With 72 standings points, the Red Wings currently hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference Wild Card standings, with a three point lead on the second-place Tampa Bay Lightning (with two games in hand). At the same time, they're just two points back of the Toronto Maple Leafs for third place in the Atlantic Division (with Toronto having a game in hand). Derek Lalonde's team will look to keep this stretch going on Thursday night, when they host the New York Islanders (24-20-14) at Little Caesars Arena.
