Defending NHL MVP Connor McDavid leads the league in assists and is third in points and comes into tonight’s game three points away from his seventh 100-point season in the last eight years. McDavid, the No. 1 overall pick by Edmonton in the 2015 NHL Draft, is 53 points away from 1,000 for his career and has collected at least a point in each of his last 11 games.
Boston’s eighth ranked scoring offense is posting 3.32 goals per average paced by winger David Pastrnak’s 90 points this season. Pastrnak has 18 points in his last 15 games with seven multi-point games in that span.
Edmonton has won three straight games at TD Garden, outscoring the Bruins 12-6 during the winning streak.
