Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey leads the team with 43 assists this season, tied for the sixth-most among NHL defensemen. Morrissey, a first round selection by the Jets in the 2013 NHL Draft, has 15 assists in his last 13 games and is on pace for his second consecutive 50-assist season after posting a career-high 60 a year ago.
Despite ranking 23rd in the NHL on the penalty kill, the Jets own the league’s second-best scoring defense allowing just 2.38 goals per game.
Each of the last three meetings have ended in identical 3-2 scorelines with two of the three meetings going to overtime. Winnipeg won the last meeting in Feb. 2023 in a shootout. Winnipeg leads the all-time series 5-1 and has never lost to Seattle on home ice.
