Almost three months have passed since Sean Dyche’s men last won a league fixture, though they’ve at least managed to put a limit on the amount of points lost by becoming a draw magnet of late.
Everton has won just one of its last 13 games across all competitions, but it’s also lost just two of the last nine in what’s been a marked improvement compared to the end of 2023.
The Merseysiders have also managed to avoid defeat in their last two home outings after suffering a damaging defeat at home to Luton Town, one of their main rivals against relegation this season.
Dyche’s men did have West Ham’s number when these teams faced off in each London back in October, winning 1-0 away thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s deciding finish.
It’s a sad truth that was DCL’s last game in any competition, with the Everton frontman failing to net in his last 20 appearances in what’s been a lonely campaign up front for his club.
The potential return of central midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye could provide a huge boost for Saturday’s host, while David Moyes will be missing suspended Kalvin Phillips for the trip north.
